Piedmont CASA Upcoming Training

Are you interested in helping the children of your community? Be an advocate! Walk alongside a child in foster care, help them make sense of court hearings, make sure their needs are being met, and help them find a permanent home faster. Reduced Fines at Winder Library w/Donations to Pets

During the entire month of August, the Winder Public Library is reducing patron fines by donating dog and cat items for the Barrow County Animal Shelter. Patrons can reduce fines, up to $10. Even if you don’t owe fines, you can still drop your donations to the library.

Items needed by the shelter : bleach, cat carriers, dog crates, dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, dry dog food, wet canned cat food (pate only), dry cat food, hand sanitizer, non-clumping cat litter, blankets/towels, kitten/puppy milk replacer, dog treats, dog leashes and toys.

Adventure Bags Motorcycle & Jeep Ride

Adventure Bags, Inc will be hosting their 8th Annual Motorcycle AND Jeep Ride Sunday, September 29th. Registration will be held at Cycle World of Athens and will open at 10am. KSU at 11am. Registration will include an event tshirt (first come first serve basis) along with (1) ticket for a chance to win door prizes. Lunch will be provided for all participants following the ride. Destination is TBD. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Vendors are welcome.. Visit adventurebags.org for information.
