Benefit for Parkinson's Disease

"A Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" is a benefit for Parkinson's Disease at Chip's Bar & Grill on Saturday March 23rd from 1-6pm. A $10 cover goes towards Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Chip's Bar and Grill is located at 655 Patrick Mill Rd, Winder, GA 30680. 

New Winder High School Informational Meetings

Come learn more about the new high school opening in August 2020 in Barrow County School System. Meet the principal Dr. Dale Simpson and learn about the new innovative programs that will be offered for your student at the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy.

Seniors Prom

The Barrow Senior Center presents its Inaugural Silver Seniors Spring Prom to be held Saturday, April 6th from 3pm to 5pm at The Winder Public Library 189 Bellvue Street in Winder. Project F.R.E.E Healthy Relationship Classes

Elevate is a relationship education program. This is not therapy!  Couples engage in fun activities and learn skills they can use to better manage stress, deal with differences in healthy ways, and "elevate" the quality of their relationships.

What Couples Receive

  • A no cost, 8-hour educational program – classes meet once a week for 4 weeks.
  • A free meal and on-site childcare (space is limited) at each class.
  • Up to $80 in gift cards for attending all 4 classes.
  • Each partner who participates in our research can also earn up to $175.00.
The next 4-week Classes will be held in Barrow County at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church starting April 9th.
